A special thanks to Christ United Methodist Church and Beach Church for Allowing Heron Point to host their Tournament on February 6th, 2010

The tournament was held to raise money for their youth program to take a mission trip to Dominican Republic. The food was donated from Hardee’s, Buffalo Wild Wings & Logan’s steak house. There were hole sponsership from various local businesses and participates even had a chance to win a car and $10,000 on our par 3’s.

Heron Point Golf Club was proud host 2 days of the annual World Am golf tournament in August 2008. We look forward to participates playing our course again.

The PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship is a 72-hole tournament played on more than 55 Myrtle Beach area golf courses each August. Participants compete for the right to be crowned “World Amateur Golf Champion” and to win some of the more than $250,000 in prizes given away at the tournament. Players are flighted according to their handicap and at the conclusion of the 72-holes, flight winners advance to the 18-hole world championship playoff at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
Each evening after tournament play, participants and their guests attend the “World’s Largest 19th Hole” at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center which includes an extensive golf exposition, equipment demos, entertainment, open bars, prize drawings and food from Myrtle Beach’s best restaurants.

FDNY Memorial Tournament, 2008

Heron Point was proud to participate in the world’s largest firefighter golf benefit. This Golf Outing has raised more than $60,000 for the families of fallen firefighters. 600+ firefighters from 27 states and Canada will tee off on 30 Grand Strand area courses during the week.
